Mustangs, Challengers split twinbill to open Area 4 play

The Medford Mustangs looked on their way to starting Area 4 play with a sweep, but then the final inning of Thursday’s doubleheader turned sour in a hurry.

The Eugene Challengers rallied for six runs in the top of the seventh inning to claim an 8-6 victory over the Mustangs and a split in the Triple-A American Legion baseball doubleheader at Anhorn Field in Central Point.
