Josephine County Commissioner John West was recalled by Josephine County voters Tuesday, according to election results from the county clerk's office.

The 10 p.m. report by Clerk Rhiannon Henkel showed 62.6% of voters said yes to the recall while 37.4% said no.

The tally was 13,413 votes in favor of recalling West and 8,011 against.

Those numbers will change slightly as final ballots are counted, including those postmarked on or before Election Day but not yet received by the clerk. The election is set to be certified no later than Jan. 13.
