A Grants Pass man who was arrested last month on drug trafficking charges has been rearrested on new charges.

David Christopher Macy, 26, was arrested previously, along with his father, Jesse Macy, 46, in a drug bust on Feb. 7 when authorities confiscated 11 guns and a 2.5 pounds of methamphetamine.

Authorities described the father-son duo at that time as supplying mid- to street-level drug dealers.

David Macy was later released on $7,500 bail. His father, Jesse Macy, remains in custody at the Josephine County Jail.

In a news release, the Rogue Area Drug Enforcement team said that David Macy’s residence at 938 S.E. N St. was searched again on Monday, and that an ounce of heroin and a small amount of heroin was found.

According to a probable-cause affidavit, Macy tried to dispose of some of the drugs outside of his home when police arrived, police said. He was taken into custody around noon, along with Destiny Amanda Fay Ridenour, 29.

Both are facing possession and distribution charges, as well as tampering with evidence.
