In an image from the documentary film, "I Wish I Was That Bird," artist James Condos sits with his work at the Fruitdale Grange. Condos agreed to discuss his art and his struggles with mental illness for the film's director Jeff Krolick. The resulting 50-minute documentary has been screened at several film festivals and won two awards. A special showing for Options for Southern Oregon is set Jan. 20.
